BUEI’s Vision: For the ocean around Bermuda to be widely understood, appreciated and protected.
Your time is a precious resource and we’re honoured you’re considering spending it with us! Below are a number of activities where your presence would make a big difference to realising BUEI’s vision. Whether you can share a couple of hours once, over a few weeks, or even all year-round, we welcome and appreciate your support!

Currently Seeking:
Films at BUEI Attendant
Films at BUEI attendants will need to assit with collecting guests tickets, theatre seating management, supervision of the film as well as any snack pack or beverage distribution and cleanup. It’s a great way to help out the comunity and catch a free film!
Kids Hour Reader
Do you enjoy interacting with children? Do you have a knack for storytelling or are you a local author eager for exposure? Volunteer for a position as a BUEI Kids Hour Saturday Reader. Kids Hour Saturdays happen every 3rd Saturday of each month at 11am and 2pm.

Ocean Discovery Centre Tour Guides
Exhibits Volunteer
Help with the delicate process of cleaning and rotating artefacts and exhibits and expanding and maintaining our database of artefacts.
Administrative Volunteer
Assist our team with important day-to-day operations necessary for BUEI to connect learning with action to protect Bermuda’s ocean.
Junior Volunteers for Explorer Camps
The popular camps are filled with fun activities, engaging experiments, and cool crafts. Be part of the team that keeps the fun flowing. These opportunities are perfect for students that enjoy being positive role models and like helping others “learn by doing.”
Gift Shop and Admin
Directly engage with BUEI visitors, provide museum information, assit with admissions, gift shop and event ticket sales and support.
Events and Special Projects
Help host BUEI visitors during special evening and weekend events by assisting with a range of duties from set-up to breakdown, including check-in, manning activity stations and prize giving.
